Operation Chick-Fil-A . . . Failure to Launch

Well, I guess you could say (but I wouldn't advise it) that I am not a die hard fan!!! This week was the grand opening for another Chick-Fil-A in Salt Lake. This one is even closer then the last one!!! I have been watching and waiting for the grand opening and had done what I thought was thorough research (I would later be proved wrong). The internet and manager at the other Chick-Fil-A told me that in order to keep people from standing in line for 24 hours to get 52 free value meals, at 6:30am the day before the grand opening if there were less than 100 people in line, everyone would get the free meals. If there were more than 100 people there, they would put everyone's name in a raffle and draw 100 for the meals.

Matt and I have been going to the gym at 5:20 in the morning and I talked him into going with me to Chick-Fil-A after we worked out yesterday (Wednesday). I was glad he went as it was dumping snow and I didn't really want to drive in it! So we set off and arrived just before 6:30 to find a nearly empty parking lot with a couple people setting up tents. After contemplating what we saw for a few minutes, I went in and asked what was going on. I was told we could set up our tent in the flagged area to await the opening tomorrow (Thursday). If we got out of line we loose our place . . .

At that point my brother looked at me like I was crazy and we loaded up into the truck and headed home. We had no tent and with no sign of the snow letting up, I was in no hurry to rush back and set up camp in the parking lot. So I guess if I want Chick-Fil-A for the next year . . .I will have to pay for it like any normal customer.

I am a little behind with posting pictures . . .but I do have some cute ones of the Hallelujah party as well as a days worth of doll clothes mom and I made last weekend. I will post them soon!!!
