Time flies much too fast!!! Again, I have found myself a couple weeks behind in posting and it is time to play "catch up".
Haylee and I enjoyed SKG date #4. This date talked about how the human mind naturally "finishes the picture". For example what does this look like )'( ? I think it looks like a person who is happy, with their arms in the air. It is natural for our mind to take simple lines and complete the picture. The point of the date was to teach Haylee that when girls wear short shorts, skirts, dresses, low cut shirts etc. even though she may not be "showing" anything, it is natural for a mans mind to "complete the picture". We talked about respecting our bodies by covering them properly and respecting men by not being a temptation for them. I am thankful that too this point Haylee is very modest. While she is very concerned with being fashionable, she is also very conscious of picking out clothes that are modest and God pleasing. She realizes you can dress very cute, and modest at the same time (I am hoping we will not have to have the clothes fight during her teenage years. While I can't keep her from dressing immodest at her moms, my goal is to help her develop her own convictions about these issues, so when faced with those choices, she all ready knows what is right and what she wants). Our date took us to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, where we walked around looking at the art and "finishing the picture". It was fun looking at abstract art and telling each other what we saw. I took a few pictures of Haylee. The lighting isn't the best because I could not use a flash.
This date was lots of fun . . .although probably not my favorite. I would have to say the Tea party still ranks as my number 1!
Soccer season is in full swing and three days a week we are "soccer parents". Jody loves that! the coach even asked him to help coach the last game as the coach would be late to the game, and Jody was ecstatic. Here are a couple pictures of Autumn at her 2nd game.
In other news . . . it looks like we will be adding another family member later this year . . . no, I am not pregnant. Matt proposed to his girlfriend Kristie and they are planning a wedding for later in the summer. Kristie is very sweet and fits our family well. She is great for Matt and we are all excited for them!
This weekend hold more soccer games, a possible BBQ with friends, an open house and girls night in with my mom. Not sure if I will have any pictures, but I will try to post and update as to our happenings!
Serving Him,
Jess
