Last week I took Haylee on SKG date #3. We were actually supposed to go a few weeks ago, but she got sick, then we were out of town, so it got postponed a bit . . .but we went this last Tuesday. This date was all about learning the importance of spending daily time with God. When we are in His Word, learning how He views us, it is easier to see ourselves and the precious child He made us to be . . .rather than looking at ourselves through the worlds perspective and constantly telling ourselves we need to change our appearance. I took her to Sego Lily Day Spa where she was totally spoiled with a soothing soak, allowing for her to have some peaceful, quiet time to spend with God. She changed into her rode (which was WAY too big on her) and was led away to soak. I sat in the waiting room next to the fireplace and prayed over her and prepared for our communion time, which I was planning to do at the end. After her soak, she came to the waiting room and we had a nice time talking about spending time with God and how it affects our lives. After changing back into her clothes, we had communion! This date was hard to take a picture of . . .so I just took one outside the spa . . .
Autumn was sooooo excited for Easter. I few days ago she said "I can't wait for Easter . . .I get my nails painted, get to wear a pretty dress with new shoes, my hair will be all cute and curled, we get to go to church, then brunch, then grandma and grandpa's . . .I've never had an Easter like that before"! So that is what we did. We had bought her a new outfit several weeks ago . . .I painted her nails and we did her hair super cute with curls and ribbons hanging down the back!!! Here are a couple pics of her . . .
After church and brunch, we headed to mom and dad's for the treasure hunt for Resurrection Eggs!
Here is dad reading Autumn the story behind one of the eggs!
We had a great weekend and are off and running with the new week. Tomorrow night Autumn and I are going on a date to see the new Hannah Montana Movie . . . she is super excited about that! I will try not to go so long between postings :o)
Serving A Risen Lord,
Jess
