We had a great 4th of July weekend. It took me a day and a half to recover, but it was a blast!!!
Friday afternoon we took Autumn to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was pretty fun. It is smaller then others I have been to, but they had some cool exhibits!
I don't recall what was in this tank, but here is Autumn at the Aquarium.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early to pick up mom and dad and head down to the parade route and stake our "property". Autumn was very festive with read, white and blue painted finger and toenails, and cute red ribbon in her hair that said "Proud to be an American". This day was full of firsts for Autumn. She had never been to a parade!!!!
After the parade we went to the park and Autumn rode a bunch of rides. She has come a long way in the "brave enough to go on rides" since last year. Last year she would barely go on rides WITH Haylee! This year, by herself, she went on tons of rides and had lots of fun.
Here is Autumn showing us how Jody drives!!!
Coming down the slide out of a fun house!
This is one of my favorite pictures of the day. Autumn got on this ride called "hurricane". Can you see her in the little boat??? You can't? Look REALLY close!!! There is a little "shrek ear" (Autumns hair) sticking out. Within 10 seconds of the ride starting Autumn seemed to disappear. None of us could figure out what she was doing and were laughing so hard on the ground (although a little concerned that she was scared). When she got off, she told us the ride was "AWESOME" (not awesome enough to go again, however). Apparently the force of the circular motion pulled her down and she could not sit up! I laughed all day about it!!
Of course we ate really yummy carnival food all day!!!
We took a break from the park for a while and dad and I took Autumn swimming! Afterwards we returned to the park and took Autumn to her first rodeo!
We had talked about signing Autumn up for Mutten Bustin, but I could never get anyone to return my calls/emails about it. After watching the other kids, she said she would still do it, so maybe next year!!!
Sunday, with the exception of showing a couple houses, I tried to re coop!!! We had a great weekend!
This weekend is sure to be a busy one. Saturday we have a bridal shower for my sister-in-law to be, Kristie and Sunday we have a BBQ at my parents with Kristie's parents! It should be fun!
Serving Him,
Jess
