After almost a year hiatus - I am back!!!! Let me just be honest here . . . I had gotten to a point where I was feeling VERY unappreciated by the girls. There were several things that happened at the beginning of last year that caused me to shut down. I mean literally!! All the things I loved to plan and do - I stopped. No SKG Dates, no Ultimate Gift, no big birthday parties - I was done. 10 months later, I have mostly recovered and while I will not be jumping in head first, we are bringing some of it back! I will be starting Autumn's SKG dates this year and finishing off Haylee's. We will finish the Ultimate Gift Experience as well. Because we did not really do any activities and I barely took a picture last year - I stopped blogging. But I have decided to pick up where I left off. I love that blogging creates a journal for our family and I want to continue that. In an attempt to quickly get you caught up, before we move forward - I am going to give you a phrase to describe each month of 2010 :o)
January - 2010 was off to a good start!
February - I moved from Coldwell Banker to RE/MAX!
March - Jody and I celebrate our 3rd anniversary!
April - We find that expanding our family may be harder than we thought (more on this later)
May - Matt, Kristie, Jody and I enjoy Memorial Day at the cabin!
June - The start of a quiet summer with lots of pool time!
July - Haylee starts 6th grade - Autumn is in 3rd!
August - Jeremy and Julie came to visit from Houston!!!
September - We start prepping to move into a bigger place!
October - Jody and I escape to Park City for a couple of nights!
November - We moved! (Remind me never to move between Thanksgiving and Christmas)
December - Extreme Bedroom Makeovers for Christmas!
To give you an idea as to how uneventful our year was - it took me a long while to come up with something worth mentioning for several of the months!
Moving on . . . I think the one thing worth mentioning is Decembers event! When we moved, the girls went from sharing a room with bunk beds to getting their own rooms. I decided makeovers would be a fun Christmas gift and I had each girl make a list of things they would like to see in their rooms. Then mom, Kristie and I set out to give them each a room that reflected their personalities! We had so much fun spending countless hours working on the rooms and I am soooo pleased with the results! Dad took some video of it and I will get it from him and share!
My New Years Resolution is to keep this blog updated through the year - So I will be back!!!
Serving Him,
Jess
