The sure fire why to tell that the holidays are in full swing, is when I go to work on Monday, looking forward to relaxing a bit!!! Our December weekends are always super crazy - and I would have it no other way. I love to do fun things with the girls and make wonderful memories!
Friday night we hosted a hot cocoa bar at the house. It was a lot of fun playing games and just laughing with friends! We also started the RACK (Random Acts of Christmas Kindness). I can't believe how excited the girls were about doing this. Before bed on Friday night, they asked what time they could open up Saturday's task the next morning! Friday we taped quarters on the vending machines at Walmart. Saturday we took a super soft blanket to hospital patient and cupcakes to the nurses and Sunday we delivered socks and candy canes to homeless men downtown. Each activity has been fun and the girls are learning how blessed they are to have a warm home, health, family etc. Tonight we are buying and donating a toy to Toys for Tots.
Sunday we enjoyed the annual family Christmas party at my Aunt Misty's house. We played BINGO and took away a ton of stuff!!! I kinda felt bad that we won so many prizes (Jody and Haylee kept winning). Oh well, I guess that is just how the game goes. I was horrible about taking pictures, so I really have none to share this time!
I love the Christmas season and all the excitement that comes with it!!! I don't even mind the cold and the snow . . . this month. But trust me, come January, I will be more than ready for Spring!
Serving Him,
Jess
