2015 . . . Off with a BANG!!

First off - the anticipation of 2015 was overwhelming.  2014 was not one of my favorite years!  Personally and professionally, it just wasn't.  It's funny what perspective can do . . . I was so excited about 2015 and fully convinced it was going to be an amazing year (an all ready it has been).  The only thing that has really changed is my attitude and perspective.  My business has been super busy, Jody got a raise at work, things at home are enjoyable (minus the fact that Haylee is still MIA), God is good and life is good!!

This New Years Eve was hands down my favorite one yet!!!  We played games and watched movies and did basically the same thing as every year, but this one was amazingly better.  I don't know if it was my attitude, running barefoot through the snow with Autumn, Maddie and Matt at 3am, playing Super Mario like old times or something all together different, it was just awesome!!

Almost as soon as January 1 hit, my phone started ringing - real estate is alive and well.  My slower year last year did major damage on my self worth.  I love being busy and contributing, and it feels great to be back int he saddle!!

Plans are underway for a quick trip to Vegas the first weekend in March (having a trip to look forward to is about the best thing I can have)!!  On top of that we are working on plans to go to Kenya with Compassion in February 2016!  Side note - the layover ont he way home will likely be in Amsterdam (hello Anne Frank and Corrie Ten Boom houses) - I am going to do everything I can to make sure that the Adams family has a couple day "layover" to explore The Netherlands on our way home . . . EEk - excited!!!  Also on my goal list is a trip to Costa Rica and the Grand Canyon - I know, I dream big, but hey, I have nothing to lose!!

I took Jody on a surprise date this past weekend.  We went to an indoor shooting range (a big deal for me since the last time I shot a gun was 15 years ago . . . and I cried).  We had a great time and I even got a bullseye!  Then we went to lunch and to see "America Sniper" - a great moview (although the book was much better).

That is the lowdown of recent activities around these parts!

Serving Him,
Jess
