It has been a little over a year since we got sole custody of Autumn and she moved in with us. While bad habits she learned her first 6 years still pop up, she has made some major improvements in lots of areas. Her "look" is one area of major improvement!!! Last year she was living with her grandma when school pictures were taken. Her mom came over and curled her hair the night before needless to say, by the time she got up and had pictures taken the next morning, her hair was less curled and more like a bed head. Jody and I were never very happy with her school pictures last year, but it was kind of out of our control at the time. Yesterday we got her school pictures back from this year . . .and she looks like a totally different kid! I scanned the pictures in for a comparison!!!

This is her second grade picture taken a couple months ago!!!! What a difference!!!! Not only does her hair look so much cuter, but I think she looks much more like a happy kid!!! Her eyes seem so much more full of life and her
smile seems less forced.
We continue to work with Autumn in those areas that need improvement, but overall she has come a very long way in the last year!!!
She will be 8 in about 7 weeks and plans are underway for a soccer themed slumber party.
