Christmas Traditions . . .

Well, it is almost 6am on "Christmas Morning". It is not actually Christmas morning . . .it is Christmas Eve, but with it not being our year to have the girls on Christmas Eve/Morning, we are celebrating our Christmas a day early!!! I though I better catch you all up on our pre-Christmas happenings before I have Christmas pictures to share!
Last weekend we took the girls over to Jody's cousins house to continue a tradition that we started last year. After eating yummy burritos, the kids all made Christmas ornaments. This year they each made 2 ornaments instead of one. They poured paint into a clear ball and swirled it around to make really pretty ornaments!
Once the kids had all made their ornaments, each kids picked one that they wanted to give away. Then we loaded up and headed over to an assisted living home, where the kids handed out there ornaments to the people living there. It was fun to see the kids give something away, and even funner to watch the gift recipients faces light up!

Here are all the kids after we handed the ornaments out.
Saturday morning we went over to moms house and spent the day baking yummy goodies . . .drop sugar cookies, thumb print cookies, candied almonds, peanut butter balls and chocolate chip pumpkin bread.

Mom bought the girls these cute aprons for our baking day!!

Haylee and Autumn love to cook and are always asking me if they can help me make dinner! They are getting really good at measuring without any help!

Of course frosting it the best part!!! The girls LOVE to frost the cookies!!! We had tons of fun and brought home lots of yummy treats to eat!
Well, Haylee is up, so I guess it is time to open presents!!!!
Serving Him,
Jess
