Merry Christmas . . . The King is Born!

Merry Christmas to all my family and friends! We had a wonderful two days celebrating the birth of the one who gives us life!!!
On the 23rd we took the girls to candlelight service at church . . .I always love singing Silent Night at the end with only candles lighting the room!!

As I mentioned in my last post, we celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve with the girls. I hate how the visitation only allows us to have the girls for a few hours on Christmas Day afternoon every other year. So on those years, I arrange to celebrate on a different day, giving us more time with the girls to visit and play with toys.

The girls got to open their Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve!
Here is our tree this year with all the presents under it! I told you it would be drastically different!!!

The first thing we opened was the Ultimate Gift. Haylee read the letter explaining what it was and why we were going to do this.
Next, the girls opened their toys. Autumn got Pixos . . . a fun little thing where you create little things out of tiny balls and then spray water on them to make them stick together.

Haylee has been into clothing design for several years. She used to sit in her room for hours and draw clothes and say she was at "working", designing clothes for the movie stars! Last year she got a little kit that had fabric and patterns in it for designing and making clothes. So this year she wanted the Project Runway kits that come with so much more in the way of pieces to work with. Autumn bought her a bunch or fabric, so she will have lots of stuff to design with!

And the girls seemed content with their gifts shortly after opening them!!
After breakfast, we headed over to mom and dads for Christmas there! I made mom and dad open their gift first! I had seen this carousel thingy a while back and so bought one for them and decorated it with lots of pictures and stuff!
Mom cried when she opened it . . . and so did I!!!
Then the girls opened their gifts and the hit of the day was the LIV doll. Haylee had asked for one and although Autumn didn't we thought it would be funner if they each had one. The are like Barbies . . . but you can change their hair and I liked that the outfits are all modest!

Introducing . . . Katie and Sophie.
The blonde one is Haylee's and the brunette is Autumn's.

After visiting with mom and dad for a while, we went to see Jody's mom. She opened her gift from us, a digital frame loaded with pictures of us! She LOVED it!!!
Then the girls opened their gifts from her. Haylee got a little sewing machine . . . to aid her in her clothes designing and Autumn got a rock tumbler (she LOVES rocks and I often find them under her bed, in her backpack, in her pockets and hiding in the garage)! Haylee and I have all ready started making clothes for the LIV dolls!

On the real Christmas day we went to mom and dads to open our gifts with Matt and Kristie, then we went to my grandma and grandpas for a visit there. Christmas was lots of fun!!
Next up . . .
New Years Eve at mom and dad's
Followed by . . .

I can't wait to share it all with you!

Jess
