We had a VERY enjoyable Thanksgiving with family at my mom and dads house! We had the girls on Thanksgiving this year, so that always makes it funner! I only took a few pictures . . .as I was too busy eating!

I had no plans to get up and go shopping early on Black Friday . . . however, at 3 am I found myself standing outside of Kohls to get in on a few good deals! I was not without good company though, mom, dad, Matt and Kristie joined in on the fun. Jody was sad that he had to stay home in a nice warm bed with kids in bed across the house and miss out on standing outside in 30 degree weather for an hour, fighting through crazy crowds and standing in line for an hour to buy one item!!!

Here we are in front of Kohls . . .
Over the past couple months I have gotten mixed up in a coupon craze!!! I have learned the art of combing coupons with store sales and price matching to get a ton of food for very little. Not long ago I ran up a bill of $78 and after all discounts coupons etc. I spent $3.67 out of pocket. Today I took Jody on my couponing adventures and he was surprised at how this all works. I got a tone of stuff and wanted to show you all!!!!

Not pictured are a tube of toothpaste and 4 Olay facial cleansers, 5 Redbox coupons and a $5 coupon for my next purchase at Albertsons. For all these groceris I spent $62. I saved about $25 with coupons and soooooo much more with price matching. For example Harmon's had their cereal on sale 4 boxes for $5 (normally $2.88 a box)and I had 4 dollar off one box coupons so I got 4 boxes of cereal for $1!!!!! Thats a savings of $10.52. I paid less than a dollar for every item I purchased today. I may have become obsessed with all these savings, but once you realize how much you can save, it is hard to pay full price for anything.
Well, we have a super busy weekend with 2 Christmas Parties, going to the Theatre and out to see Christmas lights! I will take some pictures to share!!
Serving Him,
Jess
