Jackson and Yellowstone . . .

In June, Jody and I were invited to go to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole with some friends, and decided to join them.  We had attempted Yellowstone last fall, but the government was shut down and as a result, so were the national parks.  Luckily we were staying outside the park, so we changed our plans and found other things to do.

Haylee was not going to be with us, so it was a threesome road trip!  Our friends Tami and Graham were going to drive separate with their two boys, Mark and Ethan.  We had such a fun trip - I dare say - one of my favorites.  We got to Jackson several hours before our friends, so we went to dinner and enjoyed the Jackson Hole Shoot Out.

And we had to get our picture taken in front of the antler arches!

We even did a little geo-caching, which was really fun and we met some others from around the country doing the same thing!

Our favorite thing was the chuck wagon dinner.  We took a chuck wagon a couple miles up the mountain and had a "cowboy dinner".  The whole thing reminded me of my years working at Half Moon Lake Resort in Pinedale!  We all had a blast.

I made Autumn and Mark go up and participate in the "show".  Autumn was embarrassed, but a trooper!!

The next day we headed to Yellowstone.  In hopes of seeing a bear, we only saw moose, elk and bison . . .

It was a great trip . . . wish I could do it all over again, only next time, with a stop in Pinedale!
